On Monday, I had a great time talking about Advent on the Chris Fabry Live! show on Moody Radio.  Immediately afterward, we found my website server had problems and have not been able to post at all!  It has been really frustrating but I am glad to find that things are back up and running (kinda)!

Back to Chris Fabry!  🙂

I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to talk about Advent with Chris. As we come into the holiday season, it is so easy to get bogged down with long to-do lists.  We easily fall into the cultural mandate to pursue materialism.  But, the truth is, we can find joy during this season and Chris and I talked about some concrete ideas to help bring balance and peace to our celebrations.  I would love for you to listen in and have access to some of the things that we discussed on the show!  Here are some handy links!

Listen in on the whole conversation:

WConnecting to Christmase talked about the importance of using our Nativity sets as more than decorations.  We discussed the devotions I wrote to help my family do just this.  If you loved the idea of paying attention to the gifts of the wise men, or using the Three Gifts approach with your kids, those ideas are found in that devotional booklet.   It is for sale and you can get your copy, too! Lastly, we talked about how families have options to reduce stress and improve discipline, leading to a much improved shared life!  All of this is possible for you, and you can buy this book by simply clicking on this Amazon Sticks Link.

Did you listen to the show?  I would love to hear from you.

Do you have some ideas about how we can prepare for Advent well?  I would love to hear from you!

Advent begins on Sunday and will offer us 4 weeks to revel in the wonder of the story of Jesus’ birth.  Let’s find concrete, practical ways to keep drawing ourselves and our families back into the truth and hope of that story.   In this way, we can literally find that Christmas is not only fun and faith-filled, but also deeply life-changing.

Blessings on your day!
